Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How many guests can I accommodate in a marquee?
A: What type of event are you holding?  Work out the number of guests, whether they will be seated or standing. Then you possibly need to add on space for dance floors, stages, reception areas. Please call and we will be able to inform you of the size marquee you need.

Q: Do you only supply the marquee?
A: No, we supply pretty much anything you need for your event. From Table and chairs to Table Cloths and Napkins. All can be found on our Accessories page.

Q: How long is your marquee hire period?
A: Our Marquee Hire Prices are based on a 1 to 4 day hire period. Additional hire days are calculated at an additional 15% of the total hire cost per day required.

Q: Can the marquees be opened up on warm days?
A: Yes, the walls can easily be opened and safely secured, we will demonstrate how you can do this when your marquee is installed.

Q: Do we need heaters?
A:Sometimes even in the middle of the summer it’s useful to have a heater, so budget for one just in case and make a decision in the week leading up to your event. Powerful heaters and hard flooring ensure warmth and a safe footing, so it’s even possible to hold a marquee event in the winter.

Q: What is the difference between lined and unlined marquees?
A:Lined marquees are more luxurious, the function of the lining is to cover the PVC walls and marquee frame. Most clients opt for a lined marquee for a wedding and an unlined marquee for functional or casual events.

Q: When will you put up/take down my marquee?
A:Normally we erect marquees on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday before an event and we dismantle them on the following Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. However we can also accommodate special requirements in our timetable.

Q: Are marquees waterproof?
A:Yes, but in heavy rain water pouring off the roof of the marquee may not soak into the ground quickly enough and it is possible to experience water seepage. The only guarantee of a dry floor is to opt for a carpeted hard floor.

Q: How safe are your marquees?
A:All of the marquees we supply are constructed of fully fire resistant fabric and confirm to stringent Bsi safety standards. We also have insurance cover.
